What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates utilises a bed-like frame with springs and pulleys to create resistance, enabling controlled, full-body movements that build strength, balance, and body awareness. It focuses on improving core stability, posture, and overall functional strength, making it an excellent option for enhancing performance in daily activities and other forms of exercise.

The controlled resistance supports joint health and provides a safe, adaptable workout suitable for those recovering from injuries or managing physical limitations.

With small, supportive classes that ensure personal attention and steady progress, we also offer 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, and private hire sessions for a fully tailored experience. For more info please contact info@repandform.co.uk

Our Reformer Classes

  • Reformer for Beginners

Perfect for those new to Reformer Pilates or looking to rebuild strength safely, this slower-paced class focuses on improving flexibility, balance, and core stability through controlled, low-impact movement.

It’s ideal for beginners, those recovering from injury, or anyone managing mobility challenges who wants a supportive introduction to Pilates. We recommend completing at least four beginner classes before moving on to an improver/intermediate level.

  • Reformer for Improver/Intermediate

Designed for those who have done Reformer Pilates before and we recommend you have attended atleast four beginner classes. This dynamic class builds strength, flexibility, and endurance through a faster-paced, full-body workout.

It challenges the core, enhances posture, and leaves you feeling strong, balanced, and energised. This class isn’t suitable for complete beginners.

  • Reformer Post Natal/ Mum & Baby

A gentle Reformer Pilates class designed to support postnatal recovery and rebuild strength safely. This session focuses on restoring core stability and aiding pelvic floor recovery while helping you reconnect with your body.

You can move and bond with your baby in the room, with support on hand from a registered childminder. Both mums and babies must have completed their 6–8 week GP check (or 12 weeks following a C-section, with GP approval). Please ensure you have GP sign-off before attending.

Mat Pilates & Barre Pilates

Mat Pilates forms the foundation of the Pilates method, using your own body weight and occasionally small props to develop core strength, improve posture, and increase flexibility. Suitable for all levels, it delivers effective, low-impact results through precise and controlled movements.

Barre blends Pilates, ballet-inspired exercises, and strength training to create a fun, energising, full-body workout. Expect to sculpt and tone while improving endurance, coordination, and overall body awareness
Both classes are designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and leave each session energised.

Yoga Vinyasa and Stretch & Flow Classes

  • Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic style of yoga where you move smoothly from one pose to the next in sync with your breath. Think of it as a flowing sequence that builds strength, balance, and flexibility while keeping your mind focused.

  • Stretch & Flow is a gentler class that combines slow, mindful movement with deep stretching. It often blends elements of restorative yoga and light mobility work to release tension and improve flexibility.

Together, Vinyasa and Stretch & Flow give you an energising yet soothing practice that supports overall wellbeing.

Sound Baths

A sound bath is a deeply restorative experience where you lie comfortably—often on a yoga mat with a blanket and eye pillow—while soothing instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and Tibetan bowls create layers of calming vibrations. These harmonic sounds wash over you, slowing the mind and easing tension to promote deep relaxation.

Without any movement required, it’s a gentle yet powerful way to relieve stress and anxiety, enhance mindfulness, and invite a sense of balance and calm. Each session offers a unique meditative journey, making it perfect for anyone seeking to unwind, reset, and reconnect

Breathwork Workshop

A breathwork workshop is a guided session that explores specific breathing techniques to positively influence your physical, mental, and emotional state. Facilitators lead participants through rhythmic or patterned breathing, often paired with gentle movement, music, or meditation to enhance relaxation and focus.

These practices help increase oxygen flow, release tension, and build awareness of the breath, offering immediate stress relief, improved energy, and emotional balance. Accessible to everyone, breathwork provides practical tools to manage anxiety, improve sleep, and enhance overall wellbeing—making it a powerful practice you can carry into everyday life.
